Come join us for an exclusive tour of Seattle Mountain Rescue’s new Mountain Resource Center (MRC). 

The MRC enables SMR to maintain and centralize their rescue  equipment, provide a consistent training area for field members, help build the teams collective resilience by providing a new space and way to connect the team. This will help SMR to weather the hard things they do and  provide a community classroom to perform mountain safety education in conjunction with their partner organizations.

We will have a pizza party to celebrate our fund-raising efforts and learn more about the great work SMR is doing!

Whether you ski, snowshoe, snowboard, or snowmobile, recognition of avalanche danger is an essential and potentially lifesaving skill. This introductory virtual class provides a basic approach to managing risk. NWAC instructors will explain how to access avalanche and mountain weather forecasts and recognize basic signs of avalanche danger
